Support PFLASA
Every gift matters, no matter its size.
As a magnet school, LASA offers exceptional advanced classes and
programs, many of which are unique to LASA. However, the district
does not provide special funding or resources to support the magnet
environment.
PFLASA helps to make up the difference. Once a year, we ask
our families to show their support for our school by making a
donation to PFLASA. We ask that each family contribute $60 per
student so that we can meet our goals to support educational
excellence at LASA. We appreciate gifts of any
size.

Whether it's a DVD for a physiology class, an octopad percussion
pad for the theater department, or lab kits for chemistry classes,
PFLASA helps to ensure LASA students have the materials they need
to learn and that otherwise would not be available. Your generous
contributions make this possible.
Your contribution can help ensure students have access to
needed technology.
In today's high-tech environment, providing adequate technological
resources for our students can be a challenge. At times, computers
at LASA are too old to operate software that students need in their
classes. In some cases, computers have had missing keys or
are slow. PFLASA is striving to replace these, so that
students have the technology they need to succeed in
class.
In 2015-2016, PFLASA was able to help LASA purchase 510 new
Computers on Wheels (COWs) that are used in almost every LASA
classroom. PFLASA also purchased desktop computers for the
Robotics, Electronic Magazine, and Yearbook classes. In 2016-2017,
PFLASA hopes buy new computers for the SciTech and Engineering
classrooms.
