The LASA English Department has an Advanced Placement focus with attention to critical reading and writing skills designed for success at college-level analysis. Our department extends beyond that important focus to embrace the importance of classic and modern literature in defining the human condition and interacting with whole texts in a variety of ways including social media, artistic representations, performance, literary criticism, creative writing, research, presentation and discussion.
