Excited to join LASA High School and Raptor Athletics!

As I start the 2020 school year at LASA, I am very excited to be in the position of Head Volleyball and Head Basketball Coach for the LASA Raptors! I will also be working in the teaching position of Special Education SCORES and Methods of Personal and Academic Success.

Growing up in a 3A school in Colorado City, TX, I played volleyball, basketball, track, and was very involved in high school activities such as athletics, student council, cheerleading, and band. After graduation from high school, I continued my athletic career by playing college volleyball and basketball at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX.

Upon graduation from college in 1991 and receiving my Bachelor of Science with a Minor in Political Science and Masters of Education with Principal Certification, I then followed my dream of coaching, teaching, and working in school administration. Over the 28 years in education, I have been given the opportunity to experience teaching and coaching at the 2A-5A high school level as a Head Volleyball, Head Basketball, and Assistant Coach in the areas of track, softball, and golf. I was also very fortunate to coach as the Division III Head Volleyball Coach at Hardin-Simmons University and then moving up as the Head Volleyball Coach at Division I Centenary College of Louisiana.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, watching sports, competing in sports, and working out! I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and even taking in a Texas Country music concert, going two-stepping, and playing a fun game of golf! The best thing about being from a small West Texas town is that everyone is friendly, they all know your name, and they will be your friend for life!
